Evergreen Games mission

Welcome to Evergreen Games. I'm Ed Marriott, and I've been designing board games for over a decade — starting with Scoville in 2013, through Embarcadero with Adam Buckingham in 2021, and now here, building something we own entirely.

Our motto is simple: "Putting games on tables, and smiles on faces." That's not just a tagline. It's the test we apply to every design decision we make.

What We Believe

We believe great board games create meaningful social experiences. Not just entertainment — actual moments between people that stick with you. We want to build games that earn a permanent spot on your shelf and get played for years.

We're committed to transparency and integrity. That means sharing what's working and what isn't, acknowledging our mistakes in public, and treating our customers like adults. No marketing hype, no manufactured scarcity.

We're committed to eco-friendly practices where economically feasible. And we're committed to never recycling the same game design twice — every game we publish will bring something new to the table.

Where We're Headed

Long-term, we're building toward a "3-2-1 model": six releases per year — three small Bonsai games, two mid-weight Evergreen games, and one heavy Sequoia. We're nowhere near that yet, but that's the target.

Gen Con 2026 will feature eight Spyre demonstrations. We expect a full booth presence in 2027. Every step between now and then will be documented here.

Thanks for being here at the beginning.
